In each season of Chris Tarrant: Extreme Railway Journeys for Channel 5 in the UK, the crew travel along some of the most amazing railway journeys in the world.
This time around they are in Turkey, promoting the country’s impressive rail network, travelling from the west of the country to the far east via rail. The team visited and showcased as many places as they could within the country between the rail route from Istanbul to Kars. Along our route, we make various stop-offs to cover stories of interest, from historical and tourism-related to stories on railway engineering and construction.
